This items is suitable for connection to 40mm/1.5" Storz coupling.
A foot valve incorperates a strainer and an non return valve. The strainer prevents large debris from being sucked into the suction line and potentally damagind the pump. The non return valve prevents water from back flowing down a suction line, allowing the pump to maintain prime.
Heavy duty brass construction with removable strainer for clearing and cleaning.
Please note since the manufacture of Storz coupling fittings is not regulated, there are now many international companies manufacturing these and unfortunately these fittings vary in quality and compatibility with other fittings. Whilst Aquip will only supply quality fittings, it is possible that if you use Storz coupling fittings supplied by us with Storz coupling fittings from a different manufacturer, there is potential the fittings will not be a perfect match which can occasionally result in minor leakage from the fittings.
