This non return valve prevents water back flowing down a suction line, preventing the pump from loosing prime. Suitable for use on an suction line where pump is higher that the water level. Note if the end sucion hose is being placed directly into the water source (rather than connecting to a tank fitting) we recomend using a foot valve rather than a swing check valve.
Heavy duty brass construction
Check valve is female/female BSP threaded connection, use the nipple if male/female connection required.
Note this check valve is not designed to seal completely, and may release water at a slow trickle over time, especially if pumping dirty water.
