Polyethylene pump covers are used for protecting residential pumps from the weather. Pump covers are highly recommended whenever an electric pump is exposed to the weather, and is proven to extend pump life. Pump covers can also help to prevent pets or children tampering with the pump.
This model is a premium polyethylene pump cover, with thicker walls then most on the market resulting in a sturdy cover that can be relied on to last for years.
Holes and/or slots can be cut through the pump cover wall to allow connection of pipework, pump power cable, and for ventilation if required. A hole saw can be used to cut the hole, then if necessary a Stanley knife or similar can be used to remove any swarf. Its recommended to keep the hole size as small as possible to avoid weakening the cover.
